At Gramercy Dental Suite, we offer dental bridges as a treatment option for patients who are missing one or more teeth. A bridge is a dental prosthetic that is used to "bridge" the gap created by missing teeth. It is made up of two or more dental crowns that are attached to the natural teeth or dental implants on either side of the gap, and a false tooth or teeth that fill the gap in between.
Bridges can be made from a variety of materials, including porcelain, gold, or a combination of both. The choice of material will depend on factors such as the location of the missing teeth, the health of the surrounding teeth, and the patient's personal preferences.
The procedure for getting a bridge typically involves two visits to our office. During the first visit, the dentist will prepare the teeth on either side of the gap by removing a small amount of enamel to make room for the crowns. Impressions will be taken of the prepared teeth and the gap, and the impressions will be used to create a custom-made bridge.
During the second visit, the bridge will be placed and adjusted for proper fit and bite. The dentist will make sure the bridge is comfortable and that the bite is correct before permanently cementing the bridge in place.
Dental bridges are a good option for patients who are missing one or more teeth and who want to restore their ability to chew and speak properly, maintain the shape of their face, and prevent remaining teeth from shifting.
At Gramercy Dental Suite, we use the latest technology and techniques to ensure that your bridge is comfortable and looks as natural as possible. Our experienced team will work with you to determine if a bridge is the right treatment option for you, and will help you make an informed decision about the material and design of your bridge.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
